Biohit GastroPanel® quick test NT is a rapid and quantitative immunochromatographic test for the detection of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and atrophic gastritis in a clinic or Point-of-Care setting. GastroPanel® quick test NT is an evolution of the GastroPanel® ELISA method of detecting and quantifying H. pylori IgG antibodies and three stomach-specific biomarkers (pepsinogen I, pepsinogen II, gastrin-17) from EDTA plasma or fingerprick whole blood samples.

It enables first line diagnosis of dyspeptic patients and screening of both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients, to help select patients for gastroscopy.

Atrophic gastritis, due to H. pylori infection or autoimmune disease, results in an increased risk of gastric cancer as well as malabsorption of vitamin B12, calcium, iron, zinc and magnesium.
